Bloodborne pathogens, such as HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, pose a significant threat to public health. These infections, transmitted through contact with infected blood or other bodily fluids, can lead to severe health complications and even death. While medical research has made strides in understanding and treating these diseases, a persistent challenge remains: the underrepresentation of persons of color in clinical trials and research studies.
